We work in the central Algarve, from Loulé. It is a deliberately contained area: we would rather know the areas we are in well than cover the region from end to end and arrive late everywhere.
The Almancil triangle
It is the core of our work and where we put in the most hours.
Quinta do Lago — villas with fifteen to twenty-five indoor units, a mix of multi-split and ducted, closed for more than half the year. The customer is almost always the property management company.
Vale do Lobo — the same type of villa, but on short-term rental through a good part of the year. Here the question is fitting the work in between bookings.
Almancil — the most varied mix of all: permanent residences, restaurants, shops and offices. Equipment that never stops, and grease in the air in spaces with a kitchen.
The Loulé coast
Vilamoura — apartments and condominiums, many on holiday rental. It is the area where working by building batch makes the most difference to the price.
Quarteira — a town with permanent residents and older housing stock. It is where we find the oldest units and the most rewarding cleans.
Inland Loulé
Loulé — our base. Town, shops, services and the inland parishes, including Boliqueime, Alte, Salir and Querença. It is the area with the fastest response.
Nearby Barlavento (western Algarve)
Albufeira — hotels and holiday rentals in large volume. Batch work, planned by wing or block and carried out in low season.
Nearby Sotavento (eastern Algarve)
Faro and Olhão — we work in both municipalities, mainly on homes, offices and small shops. We have no dedicated page for these areas because the work does not differ from what we describe for Loulé town: equipment in regular use, one clean a year, and two visits a year in spaces with a kitchen.
For anyone in Faro or Olhão, everything on the service pages applies, with the same prices and the same 15-day guarantee.
Outside this area
We do not work in Lagos, Portimão, Lagoa or in the Sotavento beyond Olhão. It is not for lack of will — it is because a team of two people who claim to cover the whole Algarve either arrives late or does the work badly, and we would rather be neither.
If you are outside this area and need someone, tell us anyway. If we know someone who does the work properly in your area, we will say so.
A note on the region's climate
There is a characteristic of the Algarve that affects all these areas and is worth bearing in mind.
Average relative humidity in Faro is around 78% in January and 80% in April, against 71% in August. Winter is damper than summer. In an occupied house that is not a problem; in a house closed from October to May, it means seven months of high humidity and still air inside each air conditioning unit.
It is the reason we always recommend that seasonal properties be cleaned in April or May, before first use — and not in August, with the house full.
